They may use their breaks to play games with their crewmates, read, watch movies, or talk to their families on Earth. They also use the time to work out and exercise.
One of the favorite ways for astronauts to spend their breaks is by just sitting and looking out the window. Seeing the Earth from a distance is a very rare treat that most people don’t get to see. Astronauts like to take the time and enjoy it.

Window to the World
Draw a picture of what the Earth looks like from space. You can copy a picture of a globe if you want! Remember to include the oceans, and the continents, and clouds too! You can see weather really well from outer space.
When you’re done, hang it on your wall and pretend that you are on a space shuttle and that your picture is the view out your window!
