I think it is important to make sure children know that any stranger, male, female, adult or kid, can be bad. NEVER go anywhere with anyone thy don't know.

I think it's worth helping the child to identify male characters who are "bad guys" and male characters who are "good guys." And to remind her that movies stereotype genders (but in a language a 3.5-year-old kid can understand!).

No, definitely not. my personal favourite female bad guy is catwoman in the classic '60's batman ("and it took place at sea, and C is for catwoman!") there are also lots of women who stab spies in the back (Bond girls being among the more famous).
